Starting in June 2022, SmartNews incorporated an ad unit in the user experience of our app.
This banner ad appears at the very bottom of the “web view” mode in SmartNews.The ad unit is offset from the area in which a webpage appears, and is clearly separated and marked as “ad space by SmartNews”.
The traffic from the “web view” will continue to go to the publisher’s website, and the viewing of the website by SmartNews users is uninhibited by this ad placement.
